Our Recording Studios in Manchester
Hope Mill Recording Studios are based in a grade 2 listed Mill in Ancoats, Manchester. Right in the heart of the city’s vibrant music scene.
Our studios have a great mix of analogue and digital technology, great acoustics and lots of natural daylight.
This is a great city centre location with good transport links close to local hotels, bars & restaurants. There is also ample car parking space on site and a great cafe close to hand too.
Acoustically treated recording and mixing environments
All rooms have been carefully considered for their acoustic properties. The control room has been designed to give a even and balanced response and incorporates a mixture of both diffusion and absorption materials. The live space is a great sounding room to capture that classic “ambient” sound. There is also an acoustically treated isolation booth for recording vocals and instruments in complete isolation.
From a great idea to the finished product
The studios were built with flexible acoustics in mind to suit the needs of todays musicians and producers. We have hopefully created a friendly, homely environment which is relaxed and conducive for making great sounding records.
We’ve filled the studios with first rate technology such as an Amek Einstein 40 channel mixing console and a fine collection of mics and pre-amps. We also have a growing collection of classic analogue gear such as- amps, pedals and vintage tape machines.
